Dempagumi.inc

Dempagumi.inc is a Japanese girls pop group, composed of six girls, Mirin Furukawa, Risa Aizawa, Nemu Yumemi, Eimi Naruse, Ayane Fujisaki, and Moga Mogami. The group belongs to Dear Stage, Akihabara’s most famous idol live house and bar where the group was originally founded. Each of the members is real geeks/otaku of pop culture that represents "Japan" now, like anime, manga, games, and cos-play. That way, they attract attention overseas as well and had performed at many events in Paris, San Francisco, HongKong, Jakarta, Taipei, India, and Singapore, not just singing/dancing performance but fashion shows or conventions as well. They are touring in Japan during Jan - Mar 2014 that gathers around 20,000 audiences, and just announced first concert at Budokan in May. And after that they are looking at events and festivals overseas.

NAGAREDA Project

Foursome rock band suffered a mask. Where The band arrange famous anime songs, it was posted on ""niconico-Douga""site, the singing ability and dynamic playing by fixed point camera shooting in the small studio, rock fans from anime core fans to receive the broad support from all over the world. Debut with a cover album of famous anime songs in December 2010. The theme song of TV Anime 2013 ""Saint Seiya Ω"" released. Band members wrote a song. The original album""fake"" released in September 2013. Second single theme song of ""Dragon collection"" in May 2014 Launch of the ""theme of the After-V"" latest single that contains the OP / ED continuous TV drama ""After V"". Following the 2013 and join anime festival in Germany ""connichi"" in September 2014.

VALSHE

A digital rock singer with androgynous husky voice like a young boy. Made his major debut with a mini album storyteller in September 2010. Released 7 singles, 1 mini album and 2 albums. Mainly popular with anime fans and Internet users and boasting more than 90,000 followers on Twitter. Expanding his activities as having his songs used in two games and two animes including the popular anime "Case Closed (Meitantei Conan)" which had his 6th single "Butterfly Core" as the opening theme. After having used only the illustrations of his image on all previous CD covers and everything else, he revealed his face for the first time on the cover of his single "Butterfly Core." Last year, at his first solo show, he finally removed his veil. Released the album V.D. in February 2014 and hit the number 10 in Oricon Weekly Chart.

fhana are Junichi Sato, yuxuki waga, kevin mitsunaga and towana, sharing interest in Visual Novels, Anime, and the Internet, formed to create a new form of storytelling via music. They were chosen as iTunes Japan 2014 New Artist To Watch, and all 4 of their singles became theme songs to popular anime series. YANAKIKU

"YANAKIKU" is a female J-Pop duo with a mission to share the wonders of Japan with the world. After releasing their debut single "Miwaku No Lady" in 2012, they were asked to perform at an event that celebrates J-culture, "HYPER JAPAN 2013", held annually in London. The eccentricity of their performance caught the eyes of many and was picked up by Tokyo Sports Newspaper and other famous J-pop review sites from overseas. THE POSSIBLE

The Possible has started their career in 2006, produced by Tsunku, who is one of the most famous record producers in the J-pop scene for many years. In 2012, they have signed with JVCKENWOOD Victor Entertainment Corp., and released the single "Nanja Korya!?" and "Zenryoku Banzai! My Glory!", the latter charted at 7th spot on Oricon’s Weekly Singles Chart. Their follow-up singles, "Otome! Be Ambitions!" and "Yuuki Superball!", charted at No.5, showing their strong presence in Japan’s idol scene. They have been very active performing live and sold out venues such as Yokohama Blitz, Akasaka Blitz and Ebisu Liquidroom. In 2014, they have announced their first appearance at Nakano Sunplaza in November 16th. Doll☆Elements

5-piece idol group debuted in July 2013. With their cute looks based on the concept of dolls and transformation, and with their shining pop sound, they inspire idol-loving girls to be like them by showing themselves making their own dream come true, aiming to be the closest to your heart. Their 4th single, released in July, hit the number 8 in Oricon Weekly Ranking. Starting in June, they held a monthly event called "Doll☆Fes" for fans for the three months running and all three dates went sold out. This summer, they play at three idol festivals, sharing a stage with other groups. They will keep touring nationwide after their own show at Shibuya in September and the release of their 1st album in October. Currently they have two regular radio programs as a group and work individually as well; Koizumi appears regularly in a program on Fuji TV, Tonosaki appears in men’s magazines, Kojima appears in fashion magazines, and others.

PASSEPIED

Japanese Pop/Rock group, Passepied was formed in 2009, by keyboardist, Narita Haneda. Their name, Passepied was taken from a composition by French Composer, Claude Debussy. Ever since their formation, Passepied are causing sensation in the Japanese music scene with their unique music style created by Haneda, who has a classical background, and the illustration/artwork and music clip animation created by the band's own vocalist, Natsuki Ogoda. Their sophomore album "MAKUNOUCHI-ISM" was released on June 18, and "MTV 81", MTV’s project focused on Japanese Music/Culture run a special feature on them coinciding the release. In Further, Passepied’s "Tokyo City Underground" will appear as one of the featured songs on the upcoming movie "APPLESEED ALPHA", the latest movie from Japan’s CG-animated sci-fi action adventure based on the popular "Appleseed" franchise by the creator of "Ghost In The Shell" . In Japan, they will start their own across the nation tour "MAKUNOSOTO-ISM" from November 14.

NoGoD

In September 2013, the band did a tour titled "NoGoD ONE MAN TOUR -2013 AUTUMN-TOUR ""Shinzui"".The tour final took place at Akasaka BLITZ on December 2, 2013. In March 2014, they released a concept mini album "Shikisai", which consists of a remake of 3 songs that were made when they were with an indie label, along with one brand new song. Accordingly, they did 14 two-man shows "SEASON I → XIV", and 7 one-man shows "Gate Of Seven".In May 2014, they performed a tour final show at Shibuya AX, which made a huge success.The band participated in Japan Expo in Paris held between July 4- July 6.This is their first overseas performance and appearance at an event.Their performance received a favorable reputation.NoGoD will release their forth major album on September 17.

TarO&JirO

Having played as a folk duo and a band, they moved to London in 2009 to expand their range of music, and through the experience of playing in front of the London Eye as well as a lot of pubs, they shaped a prototype of their uniquely exciting guitar rock. In 2011, they performed at Japan Expo Sud in Marseille, France, and other festivals in Germany and Switzerland, then came back to Japan to play more shows. On December 11, 2013, they made their major debut with Brothers Fight and as early as on April 23, 2014, they released their second mini album OVNI. After they made their debut, they played at various festivals and events abroad such as the ones in Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK, in addition to some big outdoor festivals in Japan such as ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL. On September 27, they are performing at Shimokitazawa GARDEN as their first show in Tokyo after their major debut.

HAPPY

[HAPPY] is a group of young creative musicians from Ayabe City, an area of forested hills and green rice fields two hours north of Kyoto.Formed in 2012 by school friends (Alec (g. & v.), Ric (syn. & v.), Syu(b.g. & syn.), and Bob (ds. & v.), with Chew (g. & syn.) stepping in later), the band honed their unique musical skills by performing countless gigs prior to releasing any CDs.2013 has been a big year for the group, as they expanded their activities by appearing at various music events. Not only were they chosen to perform at SUMMER SONIC 2013, one of the major rock festivals held in Japan each summer, but they also played together with the British group PALMA VIOLETS in a joint concert in Tokyo. Their year was highlighted when they performed as the opening act for THE FLAMING LIPS where they garnered high praise from music industry attendants. In 2014, they played US tour including SXSW. JOSY

JOSY is a girl’s pop rock band from Tokyo.They give Aggressive performance for the cute looking. No guitar but loud and edgy sound with funky keyboard. They were inspired by the 1960s, and so many genres, there roots are nowhere and everywhere at the same time. their music is filled with child-like innocence, a psychedelic vibe, funky keyboards. DEPAPEPE

DEPAPEPE - an acoustic guitar duo formed in November 2002 by Yoshinari Tokuoka and Takuya Miura.They express human's emotions and scenery just by two acoustic guitars, reaching deep in the listener's heart along with soothing melodies written by them.Tokuoka and Miura show their opposite but both pleasant personalities on stage, which also entertain audiences a lot.They made a major-label debut in 2005 with the album "Let's Go!!!". This album sold more than 150,000 units, which was an extraordinary success for an instrumental music CD.It also charted #7 on the Oricon's weekly music chart, and this was a historical achievement for the "instrumental" music in Japan.Since their sensational debut, Depapepe constantly release their CD and tour overseas as well - mainly in Asian countries, such as Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Singapore.In Indonesia, they performed at a Jazz festival in 2012 and drew more than 15,000 audiences (for 2 days).They held a solo concert in Thailand in 2013 and the venue was packed with the audience of 3,000 people.

KAO=S

In April 2011, KAO=S was founded in Tokyo. Out of the chaos that followed the 2011 T?hoku earthquake, the band distilled a new style of Japanese art to bring to the world. And they named band "chaos"→"KAO=S". KAO=S combine Japanese traditional elements and modern Rock music, with musical theatre. Their sound is a blend of twin vocals and heavy acoustic guitar, overlaid with traditional Japanese instruments Tsugaru-Shamisen, using a full range of effects. And lead singer Kaori performs spellbindingly powerful sword dance. Within a year of its formation, KAO=S was invited to perform at SXSW2012. Immediately following an enthusiastic audience reception at SXSW, they embarked on a nationwide U.S. tour, putting on shows in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. In 2013, the music video “Ogre Of The Cherry Tree” was aired on France’s NOLIFE TV, and was entered into the program’s Hall of Fame. In March 2013, KAO=S performed at SXSW again. And they started their first European tour in Frankfurt, London, and Paris JAPAN EXPO. KAO=S continues to mix influences from many sources, creating a new style of art and music that it intends to unfold beyond Japan and into the world. Kaori is also a Japanese sword master, and is called as "Lady Samurai". She has many careers as an actress and a motion capture performer, too. Kaori did motion capture performance in "FINAL FANTASY" and CG movie of "Captain Harlock" etc. Kaori is currently scheduled to travel to Hollywood for filming. Kaori did Samurai workshops in Germany. And Jack also performed Japanese traditional songs in many countries. Their activities are highly rated as benefiting international cultural exchange.

GILLE

From the beautiful area of Miyazaki on the Island of Kushu comes Gille. Covering hit song "Flying Get" by AKB48 and songs by other Japanese and international artists, all in english and released only on youtube disguised in silhouette, gained over 1800000 views in the first month.In July of 2012 Gilles` major debut album "I Am Gille" was released to critical acclaim subsequently selling more than 100000 albums. In the 2012 Oricon Album Rankings, "I Am Gille" was the top selling artist in Japan for any debut artist.Having written theme songs for nationally broadcast television dramas and the international Tourism Expo Japan, Gilles career as a performer and song writer has blossomed. KiRiKo

Kiriko started learning the erhu (2-stringed Chinese instrument played with a bow) at age 6. At 12 she began the performance activities. She studied under each person of Jia peng fang, Zhou yao kun and Ma xiang hua. She studied at Central Conservatory of music in Beijing as a Chinese government in full scholarship foreign student for one year in 2011.In 2008, Kiriko performed at the opening ceremony of "Japan-China Youth Friendship Exchange Year" in the presence of the former PRC President Hu Jintao. Her 1st album released in Aug 2009, "Hare-tane the cover of Studio Ghibri songs" has been made more than 50,000 of download monthly from oversea distribution sites. In recent years she develops performance activity in cross-genre. The video which was contributed to the popular segment "I performed" on ニコニコ動画(niconico) broke through 100,000 reproduction in five days and gained the 1st place of category synthesis ranking. Kiriko gained excellent results in many contests, such as the second China music international contest top prize award. Current Waseda University, Tokyo/Japan.

The Barberettes

The Barberettes are a 3-piece girl group consisting of Shinae An Wheeler, Grace Kim, and So-hee Park.
