TIFFCOM Press Conference was held today at the Ikebukuro venue. The event dates of TIFFCOM next year was announced as Oct.22nd to 24th in 2019! Mr. Yasuhi Shiina, representative of TIFFCOM told that the Japan Content Showcase (JCS) 2018 held with TIFFCOM, broke the record for the number of exhibitors with 382 and it has been growing up by year. The registered buyers have increased from Asia especially, almost half of all the buyers. To increase buyers from Europe and North America is challenging for us. We’d like to increase the participants from Europe with cooperation of ANICA (Italian Film Audiovisual And Multimedia Industries Association). Mr. Shiina also announced that “grand cinema sunsine”, the largest cinema complexes in Tokyo will be opened on July in 2019 near the TIFFCOM Ikebukuro venue and “ Hareza Ikebukuro” with 8 theaters will be completed and the pre-opening of Hareza Ikebukuro will be in October 2019. Mr. Shiina also told that we will make more excitement together through the cooperation of those facilities. In this press conference, Mr.Yukio Takano told that whole Toshima city will support TIFFCOM to be developed in Ikebukuro and the International event to represent Toshima city. Mr. Stabile from ANICA also mentioned that we would like to cooperate with Japan to make ties up more between Italy. We would very much like to make our relationship with UNIJAPAN, organizer of TIFFCOM and Toshima city that Ikebukuro belongs to, more deepen and stronger in the future.
