This year, TIFF will feature TIFF Plus events in collaboration with a variety of cultural organizations. These special events are aimed at promoting the festival and Tokyo itself to foreign visitors in particular, with the focus on tourism + food, fashion, music, animation, e-sports and sports.

15thTIMM will hold a special event “Music×Tech Showcase” on 24 Oct in Shibuya Contact, a few steps away from the TIMM marketplace.
On this event, you can experience several events collaborated with music and technology, such as artist performances using stage technology, seminars for visual programming software, and exhibitions.
On this event, Japanese company Wonder Wall, Inc. will provide their technology called “Wonder Screen”, which is a permeable 3D screen making the stage more futuristic easily with low cost. Technologists and variety of artists will fully use this technology and illuminate their stage.
JCS buyers and exhibitors are entrance free so please come to the special showcase to experience the collaboration of music and technology!

The Japan Foundation Asia Center and UNIJAPAN will invite 15 buyers from 7 countries and regions of ASEAN territories as the initiative of the “Film Culture Exchange Project”. On Oct.26th, “Japan-ASEAN Business Matching Event” coopeted with JETRO will be held to match making with sellers from Japan.

On May 9, 2018 Japan signed a film coproduction agreement with China. This seminar will explore various aspects and possibilities of coproduction between Europe, Asia and Japan encompassing Europe-Japan, Europe-Asia, and Asia-Japan. Each speaker will present his/her experience in the area and the panel will discuss how Japanese film-makers/producers can start to engage with the global coproduction scene.

MPA／DHU／TIFFCOM Film Workshop Seminar & Pitching Contest
The first part of seminar is the purpose to construct platform for overseas development of young filmmakers. We will invite the expertise producer Andre Morgan, for many years active in the Hollywood and China to talking about future possibility of Japanese films overseas.　The second part, plan pitching will be held. A training trip to Hollywood is conferred on the excellent prize.

We offer the J-WORLD TOKYO tour for industry people interested in Manga/comic cultures in Japan. We’d like to invite you to J-WORLD TOKYO as the world first indoor theme park which you can play in the world of “JUMP”, which is a popular Japanese Manga magazine. There are unique attractions of manga “ONE PIECE”, “DRAGON BALL” and “NARUTO”. You can also enjoy the foods to image some manga titles.
At the day, we will meet at JCS Ikebukuro venue and move to J-WORLD TOKYO together. After entering, you will be able to enjoy as free time. The participants will receive the detail by e-mail from JCS before the event.
