The music market (Tokyo International Music Market, TIMM) will start from tomorrow in Shibuya venue. Then 15th Anniversary TIFFCOM -the Marketplace for film and TV in Asia-, the only film festival in Japan approved by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, and market of animation (Tokyo International Anime Festival Autumn, TIAF) will start from 23rd Tuesday. Both are well known as pioneers of global music business in Japan, with variety of success stories. Ichiro Asatsuma joined Pacific Music Publishing (now Fujipacific Music) in 1966 as one of the launch members. Today, he is well respected and known throughout the industry as one of the pioneers in the global music publishing business. The other speaker, Yokichi Osato founded Amuse Inc. in 1978 and built the company up to the powerhouse entertainment corporation it is today. Known early on for his drive in taking his business international, he is now known for the recent global success of artists such as “ONE OK ROCK”, “BABYMETAL” and “Perfume”. At the seminar, looking back in their business history, both are expected to give useful hints on how to succeed in the current global business market.
