Information of Ikebukuro and Shibuya Venue in JCS2018
Asia’s largest content marketplace, Japan Content Showcase 2018 will be held from 22nd tomorrow ! The music market (Tokyo International Music Market, TIMM) will start from tomorrow in Shibuya venue. Then 15th Anniversary TIFFCOM -the Marketplace for film and TV in Asia-, the only film festival in Japan approved by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, and market of animation (Tokyo International Anime Festival Autumn, TIAF) will start from 23rd Tuesday.

*We recommend to exchange ID badge by advanced registrants on 22nd Monday (14:00-19:00) because Ikebukuro venue will be crowded very much on 23rd of the first day.
Walk-in Visitor Registration(issued at only Ikebukuro venue)
“Walk-in” is on-site registration, it’s valid for four days (Ikebukuro/ Shibuya). Your registration photo is not required to bring, because you can take it at the registration desk. Even if you forget to register in advance, if you have this pass, you can also participate in various events and seminars.

Regarding the pass where the necessary information is registered, we have already delivered to the exhibitor by mail, so please get in with this pass.

Mega Festivals of Asia; What it is Now and Where Do We Fit In?
The world has been seeing some serious growth with the Asian mega-music festivals.
Each event with individual characters, are booking global talent and in this panel, key festival organizers from Korea, Thailand, and China will discuss the current and future of festivals and where opportunities are for Japanese artists.

On the Frontline of Chinese Music Copyright – The Current and the Future
There is much interest in the rapidly developing Chinese music market however we are not always confident on whether if we are clear and up to date on the changes in the legal issues. In this panel we have invited experts from both creative and legal backgrounds to speak about current common business practices and recent developments from the creative A&R and the business point of view. Two-part session.

Digital and Social Marketing – The International Approach
For an artist to succeed internationally today, digital and social marketing is a must. Inviting one of the founders of the UK music consultancy company, Music Ally, as a guest speaker, the panel will focus and discuss the differences in the domestic and international approach to the digital market providing hints on how Japanese artists should play the game.

Endless Endeavor to Music Business Worldwide – Ichiro Asatsuma / Yokichi Osato –
15thTIMM Keynote by two legendary figures in the Japanese music industry, Ichiro Asatsuma and Yokichi Osato. Both are well known as pioneers of global music business in Japan, with variety of success stories. Ichiro Asatsuma joined Pacific Music Publishing (now Fujipacific Music) in 1966 as one of the launch members. Today, he is well respected and known throughout the industry as one of the pioneers in the global music publishing business. The other speaker, Yokichi Osato founded Amuse Inc. in 1978 and built the company up to the powerhouse entertainment corporation it is today. Known early on for his drive in taking his business international, he is now known for the recent global success of artists such as “ONE OK ROCK”, “BABYMETAL” and “Perfume”.
At the seminar, looking back in their business history, both are expected to give useful hints on how to succeed in the current global business market. For all who aim to build their careers internationally, this is a must attend.

P&I Screening information in Roppongi Venue
P&I Screening is the screenings of official films selected to the 31st Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) for the press and industry professionals. We’re happy to announced that the P&I Screening schedule of Roppongi Venue( TOHO Cinema Roppongi Hills/ EX Theater Roppongi)has been released.
Pre-registration for this screening will not be required for this year. But please bring your JCS ID badge with you as you will be asked to present it before the screening.
