Japan Content Showcase 2018, the number of participants is announced,
TIFFCOM2019 event date was revealed as Oct 22nd to 24th!

The Japan Content Showcase (JCS) 2018 has successfully ended. This year, JCS was held in the main 2 bases of Ikebukuro Sunshine City and Shibuya Excel Hotel for 4 days from Oct 22nd to 25th.
At the first day, there was long queue at the registration even before the venue opened. We could see so many business meetings everywhere in the venue with buyers and sellers.
This year’s new project “Japan Now Presentation in TIFFCOM” held the special stage event “MEET with CREATORS”, one of the various experiments, to be able to connect the remarkable creators directly. TIFFCOM Welcome Party also invited the directors and producers on the stage at the same date. It was exciting day to have aggressive networking with buyers, exhibitors, press and more. The project has accelerated the networking with overseas.
JCS2018 updated total number of exhibitors, 382 exhibitors (25 countries and regions) as the highest-record ever. The total number of participants in the 4 days was 17,675 people (excluding the TIMM showcase Live). The ratio of participated buyers to the registrants increased 84% this year to compared 63% of last year. And the ratio of overseas buyers was 72 %(41 countries and regions) and increased more than last year. It seems overseas buyers have higher expectations for JCS year after year.
TIFFCOM2019 date announced!
TIFFCOM press conference was held during JCS2018. TIFFCOM2019 date was announced from Oct.22nd to Oct.24th. Ikebukuro City will be changed by “grand cinema sunshine”, the largest cinema complex in Tokyo to open next July and the “Hareza Ikebukuro”, the new commercial complex with 8 theaters to be pre-opening during the TIFFCOM. TIFFCOM 2019 will be more scale-up with cooperation of those facilities.
