TIFFCOM Co-Production Events

KO-PRODUCTION in TOKYO 2015' will be held in association with the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) and feature one-on-one meetings with those Korean producers with plans for a Japan-South Korea co-production project.

JANG's latets suspense drama <Secret> with SUNG Dong-il, KIM You-jung, and SON Ho-jun has officially been invted to the 2015 Busan International Film Festival.

Director: Jongkwan KIM

Graduated from the Seoul Institutes of the Arts
KIM has made a variety of short films including <How to Operate a Polaroid Camera, (Cast JUNG Yoo-mi, 2004)>, <Slowly, (Cast YANG Ik-june, 2005)>, and <Phantoms of the Archive (Cast MOON So-ri, HAN Ye-ri, YOON Ji-hae, CHA Jin-yeop, 2014)> which were invited to many domestic and international film festivals to acquire awards. In 2008, under the name of <Lovers>, a compilation of KIM’s shorts was official released in theaters for the first time in the history of shorts compilations. <Come, Closer (Cast JUNG Yu-mi, YOON Kye-sang)> was released in theaters in 2010 as a feature film.
In 2012, he published a book of essays titled, <Is It Disappearing>(Publisher Woodumji), and a sketch in 2014 titled <But Don’t Turn Off the Lights> (Publisher Dal).
