Today (Oct. 25) marks the start of the content market at the Daiba Venue! Today is also the start of the 29th Tokyo International Film Festival. Tokyo’s representative areas of Daiba, Shibuya, and Roppongi have begun to showcase Japanese contents to the world! From early this morning, registration for the Daiba venue was crowded with people, and colorful eye-catching booths filed the exhibition hall. The themes of this year’s various seminars feature hot keywords such as VR, China, and local business. Later in the day, three of China’s top producers provided an opportunity to better understand the reality of China’s film market in their seminar, attracting the attention of professionals from around the world. Experts in international co-productions between companies in the US and Europe gathered for a panel discussing trends in their markets. It was prosperous so that a standing audience appeared!

TIAF (Tokyo International Anime Festival)
This year, the Japan Content Showcase venue was filled with many exhibits featuring anime contents. A seminar about the character licensing business in Thailand kicked off the day. The following lively business negotiations bore hot opportunities to do business with the hot country!

TIMM (Tokyo International Music Market)
Continuing the momentum from last night, the showcase live concerts at TSUTAYA O-EAST Shibuya featured a rich variety of artists, from soul music group to a flashy girls’ band, for a total of five artists that put on a performance that surely left an impression on both the audience and the buyers.

Walk-in Registration
For those who did not register ahead of time, there is a Visitor Walk-in Pass which can be issued when you register on-site only at the Daiba venue. This pass is valid for all 4 days, for both venues, and allows you to participate in various events and seminars. During registration, your photo will be taken, so there is no need to bring a photo with you.

Japan Content Showcase2016 offers a shuttle bus service between Daiba to Roppongi for three days while the market goes on. Please bring the JCS/TIFF ID badge with you when you get on the bus. About 40 minutes between Daiba and Roppongi and the schedule may be changed depending on the traffic. Please check the timetable as downloadable.
