Daiba Venue, Closing Tomorow (Oct. 27)! The Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM) ended TODAY!
From Oct. 24 to 27, Asia’s largest contents market the Japan Content Showcase 2016 is being held over four days at two venues, the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu (Oct. 24-26) and the Grand Nikko Tokyo Daiba (Oct. 25-27)!
This year exhibitor numbers have gathered from over 20 countries and regions for a record-breaking total of 356 exhibitors! The number of registered buyers is also the highest on record, with a total of 1,539 buyers from 49 countries and regions.

Today’s (Oct 26) Highlights @ Daiba Venue
TIFFCOM
Following yesterday’s vibes, the Daiba Venue was greeted with vibrant energy
from a bustling crowd of international visitors today at the second day of JCS.
Similarly, the exhibition halls were filled with eye-catching booths and pavilions,
in which business meetings were held and friendly exchanges were made.
The keyword of this year’s JCS is “VR (virtual reality)”.
Leading pioneers in this industry were invited to give their views on future expectations
in a panel discussion this afternoon.
Seats were filled with people who were eager to learn more
on the future prospects of this virtual reality business.
In addition, we had 50 producers from Asian-Pacific Producers Network (APN)
come from all over the asian-pacific host a business session, in which various ideas were pitched.
Hiroshi Shinagawa, who is known for his career as a Japanese comedian
but has also recently gained attention for his creative works
as a film director, was also at this business session, presenting his newest work upcoming film.
TIAF (Tokyo International Anime Festival)
The interest in animation, a type of content representing Japan on the world stage,
could clearly be seen in the sheer number of visitors to four different seminars held on this topic.
You could clearly see the lively atmosphere of business talks,
happening here and there in the booths decorated with anime posters.
TIMM (Tokyo International Music Market)
The Music Market, today is the last day.
From tonight, the showcase live concerts at TSUTAYA O-EAST Shibuya
featured 6 colorful artists, from an electronic music unit to a girls’ rock band who dressed as maid.

Walk-in Registration
For those who did not register ahead of time,
there is a Visitor Walk-in Pass which can be
issued when you register on-site only at the Daiba venue.
This pass is valid for all 4 days, for both venues,
and allows you to participate in various events and seminars.
During registration, your photo will be taken,
so there is no need to bring a photo with you.

Japan Content Showcase2016 offers a shuttle bus
service between Daiba to Roppongi for
three days while the market goes on.
Please bring the JCS/TIFF ID badge
with you when you get on the bus.
About 40 minutes between Daiba and Roppongi and
the schedule may be changed depending on the traffic.
