Japan Content Showcase 2016
Record-Breaking, Welcomed 18,330 Participants!

Japan Content Showcase (JCS), organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Foundation for Promotion of Music Industry and Culture (TIMM), UNIJAPAN (TIFFCOM) and the Association of Japanese Animations (TIAF), and JCS 2016 has successfully ended on 27 October. This year, JCS expanded its venue to Daiba and Shibuya from October 24th (Mon) to 27th (Thu) during 4 days of the period, it welcomed 18,330 participants, the largest number in its history.  JCS keeps on growing and spreading year by year.

JCS2016, 356 exhibitor numbers from 20 countries and regions have been updated best record, and the number of buyers have been registered 1,539 from 49 countries and regions as the new record.

The high-powered seminars with hot topics including VR (Virtual Reality) business and Chinese market by China’s top producers were held and received great response from the market participants. In addition, pitching sessions and matching events were actively held with enthusiasm from the participants and business partners alike.

This year, a VR corner was included as a new feature, and new exhibitors such as talent agencies were invited. By gathering a variety of contents from many genres, not only was JCS a market for distributing Asian content throughout the world, it was a platform for promoting networking between industry players. To many participants, these 4 days have been very productive and successful.

TIFFCOM – Affiliated market of the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF)
(The only film festival in Japan approved by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations)
TIAF – Tokyo International Anime Festival
