Japan Content Showcase 2017 closed!
The Japan Content Showcase (JCS) 2017 has successfully ended. This year, JCS expanded its venue to Ikebukuro and Shibuya for 4 days. TIFFCOM/TIAF were held at Ikebukuro Sunshine City and the TIMM venue was at the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu. JCS showcased diverse programs, such as seminars, events and parties, which provided beneficial business opportunities for expanding attendees’ networks.
JCS had a record-breaking amount of 371 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions, and 1,549 buyers from 48 countries registered, the highest-record to date. JCS opened with a series of events, including business meetings, pitch sessions, seminars (especially IP related), movie screenings, and networking parties, at the Ikebukuro venue, while a variety of events, including a concert held in cooperation with TIMM in Shibuya.
Same as last year, many pitch sessions and matching events were held, the venue was full of enthusiastic participants who are searching for business partners. In the market screening session, 22 film works including works exhibited at the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival were screened. In addition, the TIMM collaboration live concert by 19 artists took place for three consecutive days, and 5 groups of international artists participated in the “international showcase”. These events attracted a lot of attention of the market practitioners.
Japan Content Showcase is a place where content and business is created. New business exhibitors such as talent agents also participated. A variety of content beyond genres gathered together, information from Asia was distributed to the world, and the networking of stakeholders accelerated. In brief, for the past 4 days, Japan Content Showcase was a very efficient and beneficial marketplace for all participants.
