Objective

The Masters Category aims to promote the international co-production of feature films (both live action and animation). Foreign project exhibitors seeking to co-produce their projects with Japan will participate in business matching events.*1 Projects submitted can be at any stage, from development to post-production. Japanese producers from leading companies will select projects and participate in individual meetings with project exhibitors.

*1 Please submit Korean projects via KOFIC website , as a separate arrangement is in place for them.

[Business Meeting] October 26-27, 2011/ 10:00-18:00

  • Individual business meetings will be held in the Producers Lounge
  • Meetings will be arranged by the organizers beforehand in accordance with the requests of the project exhibitor and the Japanese producers

  • Feature-length live action or animation projects that have strong potential as an international co-production and meet UNIJAPAN's criteria for international co-productions*2.
    *2 Applications for this year's UNIJAPAN Co-production Certificate have ended. For more information on UNIJAPAN's Co-production Certification Program, please see this document.
  • Projects involving multiple countries (including Japan) are eligible.

Conditions for Submission
  • Project exhibitors must participate in business meetings held during October 26-27.
Standard for Selection

Project applications will be screened and selected by a committee made up of third parties.

Entry Procedure

Please fill out the Project Application Form and send to the TIFFCOM 2011 Project Market Organizer by Friday, September 2 via e-mail. Additional materials such as proposals, artwork, or treatments may be attached in PDF format. The maximum is five pages on A4 size paper.
